THE SALINAS BAHAMAS

Revitalizing one of the Caribbean’s most overlooked destinations with a groundbreaking land and sea park.

LONG ISLAND, BAHAMAS

What happens when an abandoned industrial site collides with pristine Bahamian wilderness?

Located in the Southern end of Long Island, Bahamas, The Salinas is home to an abandoned industrial salt complex that spans over 10,000 acres of coastal lagoons.

Together with The Bahamas National Trust, we are transforming the site into a national park — removing berms and dikes that restrict waterflow, cleaning up waste, and creating marine sanctuaries for a breadth of critical species. Alongside the park, low-impact sustainable development will bring much needed employment and entrepreneurial opportunities to the local community.

The Well-Living Zone

A trailblazing eco destination for global citizens to actively protect and celebrate nature amidst a world class wildlife preserve.

THE CONSERVATION ZONE

Over 8,000

acres of nature reserve dedicated to revitalizing one of The Bahamas’ most critical wetlands ecosystems, and spearheading advocacy through hands-on experiences.
